Effective date: 31 August 2026. Replaces the version last modified June 2014.
This policy covers the WT360 apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android, the web app, weathertrends360.com and Sunny, the AI weather companion.
What we collect: your account details, the location you view forecasts for, the questions you ask Sunny, and basic device and usage data. Nothing more than the Service needs.
Payments: subscriptions are billed by Apple and Google. Your card details never reach us.
No advertising: WT360 shows no ads, does not track you across other apps, and never sells or rents your information.
Your controls: delete your account in the app or on our website, manage location and notifications in your device settings, and contact us about your privacy rights at
support@wt360.com.
This summary is provided for convenience. The full policy below governs.
Weather Trends 360 ("WT360", "we", "us") is operated by Weather Trends International, Inc., One Bethlehem Plaza, 1 West Broad Street Suite #802, Bethlehem, PA 18018 U.S.A. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to the WT360 apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android, to the WT360 web app and the weathertrends360.com website, and to Sunny, our AI weather companion (together, the "Service"). It does not cover the Apple App Store or Google Play themselves, which have their own privacy policies, or any third-party site we link to.
By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Words like "personal information" mean information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
Information you give us.
Account details.
Your email address when you create an account.
Saved places and preferences. Locations you save, units, language, the planning categories you follow (for example gardening, weddings, travel, fishing or allergy outlooks) and notification settings.
Sunny conversations. The questions you type or speak to Sunny and the answers it gives. See section 5.
Support requests. Anything you send us when you contact support, including your email address and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically.
Location. Your precise device location while you use the app, if you allow it. See section 4.
Device and app information. Device operating system version, app version, language, IP address, a random app instance identifier and, on Android, the device identifiers the operating system provides. We do not use the advertising identifier.
Usage and diagnostics. Screens viewed, features used, map layers opened, crash reports and performance logs. We use this to keep the app working and to improve it.
Notification token. A token issued by Apple or Google so that we can deliver push notifications you opt in to.
Website cookies. On weathertrends360.com we use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small number of persistent cookies for preferences and site analytics. You can block cookies in your browser; some site features may then stop working.
Information we receive from Apple and Google. When you buy a subscription, Apple or Google tells us the product you bought, the price tier, the start and renewal dates and whether the subscription is active, in trial, cancelled or refunded. We never receive your card number, billing address or bank details.
What we do not collect. WT360 does not read data from Apple Health, HealthKit or Health Connect and does not ask you for any health information.
Our asthma, allergy and flu outlooks are based on weather data only.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone recordings (except when you speak to Sunny, in which case audio is converted to text by our speech provider and not kept) or precise location when the app is closed.
To provide the Service: show forecasts, alerts and maps for your locations, answer your Sunny questions, keep your saved places and settings in sync across your devices, and run your subscription.
To keep the Service reliable and secure: diagnose crashes, prevent abuse and fraud, and protect our systems.
To improve the Service: understand which features are used and how forecasts are consumed, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible.
To communicate with you: send service messages (for example a renewal or a change to this policy), answer support requests and, only if you opt in, send product news. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To send push notifications you choose: severe weather alerts, daily briefings and planning reminders. You can turn each one off in the app or in your device settings.
To meet legal obligations: keep tax and transaction records, respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service and your subscription), our legitimate interests (security, improvement, service communications), your consent (location access, push notifications, marketing email) and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time as described in section 9.
Location is what makes WT360 useful, and you decide whether to share it. When you first open the app we ask for permission to use your location while the app is in use. We use it to show the forecast, radar, maps and alerts for where you are and to set your default place.
When it is collected. Only while the app is open on your screen. WT360 does not collect location in the background.
How precise it is. We request precise location so that radar, hyper-local alerts and marine conditions are accurate. On iOS and Android you can choose to share approximate location instead; the app will still work with a lower level of detail.
What we keep. Your current location is used to fetch the forecast and is not stored on our servers as a history of where you have been. Places you save on purpose are stored with your account so they sync across devices.
Who sees it. Location is sent to our forecast servers and to the map data providers that draw the layers you open. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never shared with data brokers.
How to turn it off. iOS: Settings, Privacy and Security, Location Services, WT360. Android: Settings, Apps, WT360, Permissions, Location. You can also type a place instead of sharing your location.
Sunny lets you ask about the weather in plain language, in many languages. To answer, the text of your question, the location and time period it refers to and the relevant forecast data are sent to our servers and to a third-party large language model provider that processes them on our behalf under a contract that restricts use to providing the Service.
Training. We do not use your conversations to train our own models, and our AI provider is not permitted to use them to train theirs.
Retention. Conversation history is kept in your account so you can return to it, for up to 12 months or until you delete it or your account, whichever comes first. Our AI provider retains inputs only as long as needed to generate a response and for abuse monitoring, currently up to 30 days.
Sensitive information. Sunny does not need your health details, financial account numbers, government identifiers or information about other people. Anything you type is treated as a question about the weather and its impact.
Reporting a problem. Every Sunny answer has a report control. Reports come to our team with the conversation attached so we can review and improve the assistant.
Planning information, not professional advice. Sunny's answers about crops, events, travel, health-related outlooks or markets are planning information and not professional agricultural, medical or financial advice.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not show advertising in WT360 and we do not share your data with advertising networks. We share information only with the following categories of recipients, and only for the purposes in this policy:
Service providers acting for us: cloud hosting, analytics and crash reporting, push notification delivery, email delivery, customer support tools and our AI provider. Each is bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only for our instructions.
Apple and Google: to process subscriptions, deliver notifications and provide sign-in, under their own policies.
Weather Trends International business customers: never at the level of an individual user. Aggregated, de-identified statistics about how consumers use forecasts may be used in our research and business services, but they cannot be linked back to you.
Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of WT360, our users or the public.
Business transfers: if Weather Trends International is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy. We will tell you before a different policy applies.
WT360 subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google collects your payment details, processes the charge and manages renewals and refunds under their terms and privacy policies. We receive the transaction details described in section 2 so that we can unlock the features you paid for and help with support questions.
To change or cancel a subscription, use the subscription settings of your Apple ID or Google account. Refund requests go to Apple or Google directly; we cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
Account data: for as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of your deletion request, except as noted below.
Sunny conversations: as described in section 5, and deleted with your account.
Current location: used to fetch the forecast and not stored as a history.
Usage and diagnostic data: kept in identifiable form for up to 12 months, then aggregated or deleted.
Support messages: up to 2 years after the case closes.
Transaction records: for the period required by tax and accounting law, typically 7 years, without card details.
We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it, to resolve disputes or to enforce our agreements, and we may keep de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
If you used the earlier WT360 Lite apps, your Lite account data will be handled under this policy. We will send legacy users one notification about the new app and then retire the Lite services.
Delete your account. You can delete your account and the personal information linked to it at any time, from inside the app or from the web: In the app, open Settings, Account, Delete Account and confirm. On the web, go to
weathertrends360.com/delete-account/wt360_app/android
weathertrends360.com/delete-account/wt360_app/apple
Deletion removes your profile, saved places, preferences and Sunny history within 30 days. It does not cancel an active store subscription; cancel that with Apple or Google so you are not billed again.
Other controls.
Location: change or revoke permission in your device settings (section 4).
Notifications: turn each alert type on or off in the app, or disable WT360 notifications in your device settings.
Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any message or change your preference in Settings.
Sunny history: delete individual conversations or clear all history in the Sunny screen.
Access and correction: view and edit your profile in Settings, or ask us for a copy of your data.
Your privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent and to complain to a data protection authority. We honor these rights for everyone, wherever you are. Email
support@wt360.com
with the subject "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days (45 days where the law allows, and we will tell you if we need the extra time). We may ask you to verify your identity first.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR include those above and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California and other US states: we do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no need to opt out. You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources and recipients, and deletion or correction. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request; we will ask the agent for proof of authorization.
Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email, account and device identifiers), commercial information (subscription status), internet and app activity (usage and diagnostics), geolocation (precise location while in use), user content (Sunny conversations) and inferences limited to the planning categories you follow. We collect them for the purposes in section 3 and disclose them only to the recipients in section 6.
WT360 is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact
support@wt360.com
and we will delete it.
We are based in the United States and process information there and in the countries where our service providers operate. If you use WT360 from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. For transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or on other lawful mechanisms.
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging and regular review of our providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password and keep it private; you are responsible for activity under your account. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
We will update this policy when the Service or the law changes. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again.
